The Gastronomic Fair in Utiel is the major regional event dedicated to promoting agri-food products, winemaking, and traditional cuisine from this municipality in the interior of Valencia. In 2026, the event celebrates its twenty-ninth edition from 16 to 18 October 2026, bringing together wineries, oil mills, sausage makers, and entities from the primary sector in one location.

The gathering serves as a showcase for the culinary identity of the region, bringing together local producers and professionals from the restaurant industry. The days include technical sessions, training activities related to ham cutting or winemaking, and cultural events focused on heritage, performing arts, and literature.

The history of this culinary event reaches its XXIX edition in 2026. Throughout its editions, it has established close ties with the associative and cultural activities in Utiel, reflected in the events that take place concurrently in the municipality.

Among these customs, the integration of the Agricultural Machinery Fair stands out, which celebrates its third edition simultaneously with the culinary event. In the cultural sphere, the theatrical parade “RAMBAL 26” is significant, organised by the Enrique Rambal Scenic Group along with local collectives. The procession travels through García Berlanga, Nicolás Ruiz, the Plaza de San Juan, Reyes Católicos, Puerta de las Eras, Cesáreo Marco Yagüe, Puerta del Sol, and San Fernando to the Teatro Rambal, where the inaugural speech of the National Theatre Competition “Ciudad de Utiel” is delivered. Additionally, the tradition of showcasing classic vehicles continues with the “Motor Plana de Utiel” Association.

The official opening on Friday at the Paseo de la Alameda kicks off the fair alongside the Agricultural Machinery Fair. Saturday focuses on a specialised tasting of Bobal wines protected by the Denomination of Origin Utiel-Requena and culminates in the evening with a musical performance by David Civera as part of his anniversary tour. Sunday brings together industry professionals for the III Ham Cutting Competition of the City of Utiel, organised by Redondo Iglesias, before the afternoon parade “RAMBAL 26” and the inaugural speech of the theatre competition. Traditional festival food

The offerings from the exhibitors and tastings are based on the traditional products of the region:

• Vinos de la DO Utiel-Requena: local wine productions featuring the indigenous Bobal variety, subject to pairings and commented tastings such as the one led by Uterra Wines.
• Embutidos tradicionales de la tierra: typical sausages from Utiel and its geographical surroundings, available for tasting at the stalls.
• Jamón: the central product of the fairgrounds, the basis for training courses and the professional competition organised by Redondo Iglesias.
• Quesos: traditional and artisanal cheeses made by local producers present at the stalls.
• Mieles de la plana Utiel-Requena: local honey varieties presented in guided tastings and displays.
• Aceites: regional olive oil featured in tasting sessions aimed at the public attending the fair.
• Dulces tradicionales: typical pastries made in local bakeries.
• Pulpo gallego: a culinary dish prepared in a showcooking session by Pulpería Valeiras.

Visitor guide and where to stay

The venue is located at the Paseo de la Alameda in Utiel. The space opens continuously from 11:00 to 00:00 on Friday and Saturday (the first day starts at 18:00), and from 11:00 to 21:00 on Sunday. Entry to the fairgrounds is free of charge.

To access the tastings, a fee of 3 euros is required for the official Cup and Plate set, which can be paid by card at each stand. The tasting of Bobal wines from the DO Utiel-Requena has a limited capacity of 50 places and requires purchasing a ticket at their stands. To participate in the free guided tours of the programme “Utiel en tu interior,” it is necessary to make a reservation at www.agendautiel.es.

The gastroludoteca and children's area are open from 12:00 to 14:30 and from 18:30 to 21:00; children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. The Town Hall provides parking areas at the entrances to the municipality and around the Alameda. On busy days, it is advisable to use public transport or leave the car outside the urban centre. It is advisable to book accommodation in advance; staying in Utiel or nearby towns makes it easier to attend the evening performances.
