Introduction and local significance
The Feria Medieval Artesanal en Lepe celebrates its thirteenth edition this year, cementing its status as one of the most prominent historical-themed events in the Huelva locality. This celebration will take place from 12 to 15 November 2026, temporarily moving its traditional October date to this month due to the prior celebration of the Feria del Caballo. For four days, the Feria Medieval Artesanal en Lepe transforms the urban centre into a meeting point for fans of medieval aesthetics.
Historical origins and tradition
This thirteenth edition is based on the recreation of the aesthetics and atmospheres typical of the 12th and 13th centuries. The streets of the historic centre and the Plaza de España adopt specific themed decorations that take the municipality back to the Middle Ages. Merchants, artisans and exhibitors participate in this event dressed and organised to recreate the commerce and hustle and bustle of that era.
Programme and main events
The official programme for this edition covers varied proposals that take place continuously within the urban centre venue. As the main events are already detailed in the official programme above, it is worth noting that the offering includes the opening of the artisan market, musical street parades, street theatre performances and medieval-themed attractions.
Traditional festival food
The artisan market set up in the centre of the town includes numerous stalls dedicated to food and traditional gastronomy. In these spaces, visitors can purchase and taste local products and artisanal food items. The exhibitors offer a varied range of goods from different commercial sectors linked to the fair.
