Introduction and local significance

The Feria de Muestras en El Pedroso takes place this year from 5 to 8 December 2026 in the Sevillian municipality of El Pedroso, located in the heart of the Sierra Morena Sevillana region. This prominent event attracts a large number of visitors around local resources, businesses, and the tourism potential of the area. The fair is supported by the El Pedroso Town Hall and has established itself as a key showcase in December for the mountain economy. A visit allows you to discover the diverse artisanal and agri-food offerings that characterise this territory of Andalusia.

Historical origins and tradition

The fair has been held continuously since 1996, when it began with a very clear initial objective: to promote the local resources of the area, local businesses, and the tourism possibilities of the municipality. Over its numerous editions, this fair has evolved into a driving force for economic and cultural promotion in the region. The initiative was born to highlight the natural and productive heritage of El Pedroso, attracting professionals and visitors interested in the traditional offerings of the Sierra Morena Sevillana each season.

Programme and main events

As the official programme is already detailed in the upper section, here we highlight only the events scheduled for these days. The event includes the representation of a living nativity scene located on Calle Juan Carlos I, as well as the official exhibitions of the Alpesa Canine Rescue Unit situated at the entrance of the sports pavilion. We recommend checking the upper list for the exact timings of each event to plan your route through the various activities scheduled during the celebration days.

Traditional festival food

The gastronomic offerings of the fair stand out for bringing together food products made directly by producers from the municipalities that make up the Sierra Morena Sevillana. The stalls at the venue offer a wide selection of traditional delicacies that reflect the culinary richness of the region:

  • Embutidos ibéricos: includes hams and shoulders, typical high-quality products from the Sierra Morena Sevillana.
  • Productos cinegéticos: food products from the producers of the municipalities in the region.
  • Quesos: cheeses of all types from the area made by local producers.
  • Aceite: a typical food product from the region.
  • Miel: a typical food product from the region.
  • Dulces: a typical food product from the region.
  • Bebidas tradicionales: aniseed drinks, musts, sour cherries, and typical liqueurs from the area.

Visitor guide and where to stay

The main venue of the fair is located in the Fairgrounds of the town. For visitors arriving by private vehicle, the municipality provides over 3,300 parking spaces strategically distributed across four areas: the embankment in front of the Renfe station, the large plot located in front of the Ermita de Ntra. Sra. del Espino, the large esplanade just a few metres from the fairgrounds, and the land of the old cork factory. Regarding public transport, the Town Hall co-finances special daily buses and trains from Seville, which, combined with the daily train service, offer more than 3,000 places for those interested in attending without a car. It is advisable to book accommodation in advance for the festival dates, whether in the municipality itself or in nearby towns, which makes it easier to follow the scheduled events. On the busiest days, public transport or parking outside the centre is preferable, and before travelling, it is advisable to check the official programme, as timings and events may change.
